A French association "deeply concerned" about the violations of human rights in the Saharawi occupied territories

Geneva(Switzerland), Sept 23, 2015 (SPS) - The Organization of "France freedoms" has deeply expressed concern "" of repression by the Moroccan authorities against the Saharawi civilians in the occupied territories, condemning the continuing violations human rights.

 


Speaking at the 30th session of the Council of Human Rights in Geneva, France freedoms reiterated its request on the need to shed light on the fate of all Saharawi disappeared and the release of all Sahrawi political prisoners especially the group of "Gdeim Izik," calling for the need of an  UN mechanism to monitor and  report human rights situation.

 

 

The French organization has also called on the Moroccan government to respect the right to protest in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, regretting that the Kingdom of Morocco continues to repress peaceful demonstrations by Saharawi civilians demanding the right of self-determination and the independence in the occupied territories.
