Havana (Cuba), November 1, 2015 (SPS) A delegation of the Youth Union of Sagia El Hamra and Rio de Oro (UJSARIO) was received in Havana by the Secretary General of the World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY) and member of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Cuban youth, José Mora,at the headquarters of the Cuban youth Federation.
The Saharawi delegation included the UJSARIO head of external relations, Hamid Yusif, SG of the League of Sahrawi students in Cuba, Mohammed Sidi Abderrahmane, and responsible for culture, Mohamed Salek Aliha.
During the meeting, Mr. Hamid Yusif informed his interlocutor about the latest developments of the Saharawi cause and the situation in the Saharawi refugee camps after the recent floods and the situation of human rights in the occupied Saharawi territories and south of Morocco.
For his part, José Mora reaffirmed the position of the International Federation of Democratic Youth for the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and independence.
The two sides stressed the need to strengthen the joint work between the Saharawi Youth Union and its Cuban counterpart in public areas. (SPS)
