Mauritanian government provides relief aid to Sahrawi people

Amheriz, 6 Nov 2015 (SPS) The Government of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania has provided relief aid to the Sahrawi people, following the torrential rains and floods that caused considerable damage in the Sahrawi refugee camps and some areas in Western Sahara.

 

The relief aid includes 200 tons of rice and 47 tons of oil.

 

The delivery was supervised on the Mauritanian side by the assistant governor in the province of Bir-Omgrein and the commander of the second Mauritanian military zone. The reception was supervised on the Sahrawi part by Ahmed Mahmoud Ibrahim, secretary of state for documentation and security, Taleb Amideh, commander of the fourth military region, Bellahi Sid, minister of reconstruction of liberated territories, Hama dadi, central director in the same ministry, Lebeihi Emberik, mayor of Amheriz.
