Shaheed El-Hafed, January 16, 2016 (SPS) The preparatory committee of the 40th anniversary of the proclamation of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) held Saturday its first meeting at the headquarters of the Prime Ministry.
The Chairperson of the Committee, Khatri Addouh, recalled the importance of this event and its role in the unification of the Sahrawi people under the name of SADR, adding that this step is an opportunity to discover the gains achieved during the last forty years."
In a statement to the national press, the Minister of information, the rapporteur of the Committee, Mr. Hamada Salma, stressed that the Committee will do its utmost for the success of this event which provides an opportunity to "make public the most important achievements and gains made during this period."
The Committee was set up after the last meeting of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front.
The Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) was proclaimed on February 27, 1976, it should be recalled. (SPS)
