Submitted on

New York, Feb 13, 2016 (SPS) The United Nations Secretariat-General has called on all its officials and bodies not to participate in the next edition of Crans-Montana Forum, scheduled in the occupied city of Dakhla, Western Sahara.

The call comes after the letter of the President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz, to the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon, regarding the decision of the council of the Crans Montana Forum to hold its next edition in the occupied city of Dakhla.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has already declared its non-participation in the next edition of Crans Montana Forum scheduled in March in the occupied city of Dakhla, Western Sahara, a non-self-governing territory under the responsibility of the United Nations and a subject to an unfinished decolonization process.
