Addis Ababa, February 18, 2024 (SPS) - The President of the Republic and Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, participated in a breakfast meeting hosted by the Kenyan government on sustainable African vaccine production. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 37th Summit of the African Union Heads of State and Government, held in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, on February 17 and 18.
The presidential breakfast discussed the draft joint statement on sustainable vaccine production, covering vaccine research stages and development projects in Africa. This statement is expected to be adopted at the 37th Summit of the African Union Heads of State and Government, with the aim of enhancing sustainable, strong, and environmentally friendly vaccine industry in the African continent.
The Embassy of the Sahrawi Republic in Kenya had received a memorandum from the Kenyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, containing an official invitation from Kenyan President, Mr. William Ruto, to his Sahrawi counterpart Mr. Brahim Ghali, to attend the breakfast organized by the Kenyan government in collaboration with the International Vaccine Institute and African Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
