President Brahim Ghali visits traditional camp on sidelines of Artifariti cultural event in wilaya of Boujdour

Boujdour (Refugee Camps), 29 October 2023 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, visited the traditional camp on the sidelines of the Artifariti cultural event, organized by the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the authorities of the wilaya of Boujdour.

The President of the Republic spent a long time at the camp, where he was given explanations about the heritage contained in these tents, which distinguishes the Sahrawi people.

President Brahim Ghali praised the efforts of Sahrawi women in preserving national identity and the unique Sahrawi heritage, as well as their prominent role in protecting Sahrawi traditions despite all attempts to erode them.

The President of the Republic called for upholding national unity and identity, preserving memory, and standing against all attempts to erase national identity.

Furthermore, the President of the Republic led a visit to the National School of Music, which hosts the activities of the cultural event Artifariti. There, he met with delegations participating in the event and observed some of their work in workshops that embody solidarity with the Sahrawi people and its just cause.

President Brahim Ghali also led a tour of the traditional crafts exhibition on the sidelines of the Artifariti cultural event, where he toured the exhibition halls and received comprehensive explanations about the reality of traditional handicrafts in the Sahrawi Republic and its rich products and crafts.

Boujdour Province is hosting a week-long series of cultural solidarity activities with the Sahrawi people, including the Artifariti cultural event in its 16th edition, the Regional Festival of Culture and Popular Arts, the Traditional Crafts Exhibition, and the Third National Book Salon, which will open tonight.
