President of Nigeria receives Credentials from the new ambassador of the Saharawi Republic

Abuja (Nigeria), August 27, 2020 (SPS) - The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has received Letters of Credence from the new ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Brahim Salem Buseif, in a ceremony held in the State House.
During the ceremony, in which the Credentials of the ambassadors of Algeria, Vietnam, Tanzania, Chad, Ivory Coast, Somalia and Iran were also presented, the Nigerian president urged diplomats to take advantage of the opportunity to work in the giant African to improve relations between governments and peoples.
“I have no doubt that they may have a prior and deep understanding of Nigeria's enormous potential. Therefore, I urge you to tour the country, see the reality for yourself, and report back to your home governments. This is important as you are all representatives of both your home country and the host country. ''
In the field of international politics, Muhammadu Buhari has warned that “Nigeria firmly supports joint action to guarantee a democratic and just world order, based on strict compliance with the norms of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, the recognition of the unquestionable value of cultural diversity, national sovereignty and the right of all countries to decide their future freely, without external pressure”.
He has highlighted “cooperation in strengthening regional, continental and world peace and security, calling for redoubled efforts to resolve conflicts and address dangerous threats to humanity, including terrorism, the proliferation of weapons, human trafficking, cybercrime, poverty, communicable diseases and epidemics. ' '.
The Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and the Federal Republic of Nigeria maintain historical and firm diplomatic relations at the highest level. Both states share visions and policy approaches at the level of the African Union and other international organizations.SPS
