Berlin (Germany), Jan 25, 2018 (SPS) -The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO, Brahim Gali, was received today by Mr. Horst Koehler, Personal Envoy of the Secretary General of the United Nations, in Mr. Koehler's office in Berlin.
The President of the Republic received an invitation from Mr. Koehler to hold bilateral consultations in his capacity as Personal Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Western Sahara with the parties to the conflict, the Frente POLISARIO and the Kingdom of Morocco and the observers parties, Algeria and Mauritania.
The consultations that continue are still part of the implementation of the resolutions of the Security Council and the United Nations for the decolonization of Western Sahara allowing the Saharawi people to exercise their right to self-determination and independence.
The President of the Republic is accompanied by an important delegation that includes Jatri Ad-dùh, President of the Saharawi National Council, Mohamed Jad-dàd, Saharawi Coordinator with MINURSO, Fatima Al Mahdi, Secretary General of the National Union of Saharawi Women (UNMS), Mohamed Ali Zarwal, member of the Saharawi negotiating delegation.
