Dili (Timor Leste), April 28, 2021 (SPS) - The President of East Timor, Dr. Francisco Guterres, reaffirmed the support of his country and his accompaniment of our people in their struggle for their legitimate rights to freedom and independence.
During a reception offered to our ambassador in Dili, Mr. Mohamed Slama Badi, who is finishing his mission in that country, Dr. Franciso Guterres emphasized “the immovable position of East Timor towards the legitimate struggle of the Saharawi people, considering that“ our support and accompanying the Sahrawi people in their path of struggle represent a constant trend in Timorese foreign policy and our support for your legitimate demands for freedom and independence is non-negotiable ”.
Likewise, the Timorese president ratified "the determination to raise the level of support for the Saharawi State and its national cause at different levels, in order to achieve the objectives set and maintain the political consensus within our country." SPS
