Bir Lehlu, May 7, 2017 (SPS) The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario front, Brahim Ghali, condemned Saturday "forcefully" the terrorist attack perpetrated Friday against a position of the Chadian army based in Kaïga-Kindiria, in the Lake Chad region.
"We condemn with the utmost firmness yesterday’s terrorist attack against a position of the Chadian army in Kaïga, in the region of Lake Chad," wrote the President of the Republic in a letter addressed to his Chadian counterpart Idriss Deby.
"We present our condolences to the families of the victims and express our solidarity with the people and the government of the Chadian brothers," he added.
"I am confident that such acts of intimidation will increase the determination of the Republic of Chad under your clear-sighted leadership, its people and its army to continue the noble battle to eradicate terrorism from our continent and recover peace, stability and prosperity in the region and in the world," said President Ghali.
"As we condemn this heinous crime, we reiterate our established will, within the framework of our international obligations and within the African Union, to courageously challenge all forms of organized crime, extremism and Terrorism ", concluded the message of the President of the Republic. (SPS)
