São Paulo, 05, April 2022(SPS)-Political parties and movements that are members of the São Paulo Forum have expressed their “total support and solidarity with the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic -SADR- and the Frente POLISARIO in the legitimate cause of the Saharawi people for their self-determination and the full exercise of their sovereignty over its territory of Western Sahara.
In a statement after the end of the videoconference held on April 1 and 2, 2022, the political parties and movements that are members of the São Paulo Forum present at it, have called on the Spanish government to “assume its responsibility as a former administering power of Western Sahara in the pending decolonization and to recognize the legitimate struggle of the Saharawi people for their right to independence and sovereignty over their territory”.
The São Forum welcomes the recent constitution of the Latin American and Caribbean Platform of Solidarity with the Saharawi People and we make ours its call to actively promote regional and international solidarity with the Saharawi people.SPS
