National Council, 18 September 2022 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, supervised Saturday at the headquarters of the National Council (Parliament) the installation of the National Preparatory Committee for the 16th Congress of the Polisario Front.
On this occasion, the President of the Republic reviewed the various aspects of the task entrusted with the work of the Committee, the circumstances in which the General People's Congress is held, and the need to join the forces and meet the challenges to make it a success in order to achieve the aspirations of the Sahrawi people.
The President of the Republic stressed that the Committee is required to create the organizational, political, moral and material conditions for its success.
“The Preparatory Committee is a group of militants of the Polisario Front, charged with a noble mission, which is creating the best organizational, political, moral and material conditions for the success of the Congress, with all that meant in terms of achieving results and outputs that are up to the requirements and challenges of the phase,” said President Brahim Ghali.
The President of the Republic affirmed the existence of a Makhzen-Zionist conspiracy that targets the Sahrawi people and threatens peace and security in the region.
"There is a Makhzen-Zionist conspiracy with other well-known parties to target, not only the legitimate rights of our people to freedom and independence, but security, peace and stability throughout the region, including intensifying the flow of Moroccan drugs to support and encourage organized crime gangs and terrorist groups," he added.
