Algeria, Sept 23, 2020 (SPS) - Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has called Wednesday, the United Nations to speed up the organization of a referendum of self-determination of the Sahrawi people.
Abdelmadjid Tebboune, during his address before the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly, has expressed his regret at the obstacles the Western Sahara issue is facing, especially the halting of negotiations between the parties to the conflict and the delay in appointing a new UN envoy to Western Sahara.
The Algerian president, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has also stressed the firm stances of the Algerian foreign policy relating to the just causes, such as: the Palestine issue and the Sahrawi one, as well as the Algerian great efforts to solve regional crisis by peaceful means.SPS
