Windhoek (Namibia), May 29, 2018 (SPS) - The President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO, Brahim Gali, held a meeting with the President of Namibia, Hage Geingob, on Monday in framework of the state visit to Namibia at the invititation of his counterpart President Hage Geingob.
The meeting highlighted the historic relations that unite the two countries, as well as their successive national liberation movements, the Frente POLISARIO and SWAPO, which stands out for its support for the legitimate struggle of the Saharawi people for their self-determination and independence.
The high-level bilateral meeting also addressed the recent resolution 2414 of the United Nations Security Council, adopted last April, which forced the parties to the conflict, the Frente POLISARIO and the Kingdom of Morocco, to start direct negotiations in order to reach a just solution that will culminate in the holding of a referendum on self-determination of the Saharawi people.SPS
