Cuban delegation on working visit to SADR

Shahid El-Hafed (refugee camps), 26 Feb 2017 (SPS) A Cuban delegation led by Cuban ambassador to SADR Raul Barzaga Navas is on a working visit to the Saharawi Republic.
The purpose of the visit of this delegation in the Sahrawi refugee camps is to convey a message of solidarity to the President of the Council of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Raul Castro Ruz, to his counterpart, Brahim Ghali, for strengthening the existing links of friendship and cooperation between the Sahrawi Republic and Cuba, according to a source close to the delegation.
The delegation of Cuba has received at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the Secretary General of the Ministry, Hamdi Bueha.
The meeting focused on strengthening the historical relations between the two countries and reviewed other issues of common interest.
Hamdi Bueha transmitted on behalf of the Saharawi Government and people the thanks and gratitude to the Cuban people and government for the firm and coherent position of Cuba in support of the Saharawi people in all fields.
The Cuban delegation includes, in addition to Ambassador Raul Barzaga, the Under Secretary for Multilateral Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Armando Vergara.
Cuba recognized the SADR on 22 January 1980 and since then the two countries have established diplomatic relations at the ambassadorial level (SPS)
