Dakhla (Refugee Camps), 17 January 2023 (SPS) - The 16th Congress of the Polisario Front received several letters and recommendations from international political parties and figures, in which they affirmed their support for the right of the Sahrawi people to freedom and self-determination.
In this context, the Congress received letters from Asian parties with which the Polisario Front has historical and deep-rooted relations, such as the Revolutionary Front for an Independent East Timor, the Timorese Unity and Progress Party, the Timorese Construction Party, and the Democratic Party of Timor-Leste.
The Congress also received letters from parties from the African continent, including a letter from the head of the Algerian People's Voice Party, a letter from the head of the Mauritanian Nidaa al-Watan party, and another one from the Ghanaian Socialist Party.
From Latin America, the Congress received letters of solidarity from the Revolutionary Party of Panama, the Socialist Party in Uruguay, and the Communist Party in Ecuador.
The Lebanese Dr. Yacoub Al-Asaad also sent a letter of support for the struggle of the Saharawi people, through which he expressed his support for the Sahrawi people, highlighting that the Moroccan occupation regime lives on the algae of colonialism and the villainy of normalization. He also stressed that the legitimate struggle in Western Sahara derives its immunity from the strength and solidity of the Sahrawis who believe in the inevitability of victory.
