New York, Sep 23, 2017 (SPS) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain, Mr. Alfonso Dastis Quecedo, welcomes the intention expressed by the UN Secretary General to relaunch the talks between the parties to the conflict in Western Sahara.
In his address to the general debate of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly, Spain trusts that the new Personal Envoy will facilitate progress towards a just, lasting and mutually acceptable political solution that provides for self-determination of the people of Western Sahara in the context of arrangements consistent with the purposes and principles of the charter of the United Nations.
