Algiers, 10 April 2016 (SPS) - Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal on Sunday in Algiers reiterated Algeria support to "just and lasting settlement of Western Sahara conflict, based on a political mutually acceptable solution to allow Sahrawi people self-determination."
"Algeria, like the majority of the international community, supports a just and lasting settlement of the conflict in Western Sahara, based on a political mutually acceptable solution to enable the people to exercise their right to self-determination in accordance with the African Union resolutions and the principles and objectives of the UN Charter," said Sellal during the works of the third meeting of the Algerian-French High Level Intergovernmental Committee (CIHN).
"I recall once again the tragedy experienced by the Saharawi people prevented for over forty years from deciding their own destiny," he declared.
The works of the 3rd session of the third meeting of the Algerian-French High Level Intergovernmental Committee (CIHN) started Sunday in Algiers, under the co-chairmanship of Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal and his French counterpart Manuel Valls.
The CIHN's works was preceded by talks between Sellal and Valls, expanded subsequently to the delegations of both countries. (SPS)
