Shahid Al-Hafed, November 15, 2022 (SPS) - Member of the National Secretariat, President of the National Council, Mr. Hama Salama, received today, at the headquarters of the National Council, a solidarity delegation includes the parliamentarian and representative of the Leadership of the Venezuelan Socialist Youth Party, Mario Pastillo, and the youth activist Teresa Larasquel.
During the meeting, which was attended by Secretary-General of the National Council Mr. Beda Sidi Mohamed, the President Hama Salama, welcomed the Venezuelan delegation, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the people and leadership of Venezuela for their courageous stances in supporting just causes, as the Sahrawi issue.
Mr. Hama Salama, highlighted that despite the pressures, conspiracies and challenges Venezuela is facing, it has remained steadfast and adheres to its firm principled positions in supporting the struggle of peoples for freedom and dignity.
The President of the National Council renewed the call to strengthen the bilateral relations between the Sahrawi republic and the friendly state of Venezuela, as well as between the parliamentary bodies of the two countries through friendship and solidarity committees, exchange of visits and joint programs, and cooperation between various institutions to strengthen the bonds of friendship.
The Venezuelan delegation presented a symbolic gift to the President of the National Council as a token of fulfillment of the historical relations that bind the Polisario Front and the Sahrawi Republic to Venezuela and its people and the common struggle against colonialism, expansion and foreign domination of peoples and the violation of their rights.
