London, March 02, 2018 (SPS) - UK Foreign Office has reaffirmed Wednesday UK unwavering position regarding Western Sahara, as it supports the efforts of the United Nations (UN), General Secretary and Special Envoy to reach lasting political solution that guarantees the right to self-determination to the Sahrawi people.
The UK Foreign Office has reaffirmed this position during a meeting with the member of Frente POLISARIO’s National Secretariat and Sahrawi Coordinator with Minurso, M'hamed Khadad who was accompanies with Frente POLISARIO representative in UK Hamdi Abiha.
Khadad informed the Foreign Office about the recent developments concerning the Sahrawi question, particularly the breakthrough that represents the recently issued decision of the European Court of Justice (CJEU) which excludes the Sahrawi territorial waters, the EU-Morocco fisheries agreement.
The same Sahrawi official expressed the POLISARIO's readiness, as the only legitimate representative of the Sahrawi people, to collaborate with the United Nations, the UN Secretary-General and his special envoy in order to find a just and lasting solution, guaranteeing the right of self-determination to the Sahrawi people.SPS
