Andalusian Parliament welcomes Saharawi children

Seville, July 23, 2018 (SPS) - The Hospital of the Five Llagasin Seville, the seat of the Andalusian Parliament, was the place chosen by the Vice President, Mrs. Teresa Jiménez, to receive a representatives of the Sahrawi children participating on Monday. in the Vacations of Peace Program 2018, according to a press release from the Andalusian Federation of Associations in Charity with the Sahara (FANDAS).
Seven planes have moved this year these children from the Desert of Tindouf to Andalusia, to be welcomed two months of summer by Andalusian families in solidarity with Sahrawi people.
Vacations in peace aims to contribute to the welfare of Sahrawi children, benefiting from medical check-ups, a more balanced diet, and they can also learn about other cultures and lifestyles.
On behalf of the Federation, its president, Ángeles Ariza, and the cooperators Bai Mohamed, Verócnica Cáceres, Ana Tejero, Lola Villagrán and Agustín Jiménez attended. Along with Mohamed Zrug, Delegate of the Frente POLISARIO in Andalusia.
Ariza recalled the support given in September by all the groups of the Andalusian Parliament against the plundering of the natural resources of Western Sahara, and has shown solidarity, as well as the whole Federation it represents, with the Andalusian fishermen who live in permanent dispute over the Agreements between the European Union and Morocco. The United Nations has stated that the waters of Western Sahara cannot be included in such agreements, since Morocco is not its owner, it does not belong to it because it is an invading country.
