Johannesburg (South Africa), Oct 8, 2017 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary- General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, arrived Sunday morning in Johannesburg, South Africa, to attend as guest of honour the opening of the 5th Ordinary Session of the Pan-African Parliament, to be held on Monday, under the theme "Harnessing the demographic dividend through investments with the youth”.
The President of the Republic was received upon his arrival at Oliver Tambo International Airport by the President of the Pan-African Parliament, Roger Nkodo Dang, Vice President of the PAP, Ms Soueilma Beirouk, Saharawi ambassador to South Africa, Bachir Sgayer.
The President of the Republic will deliver a speech at the opening of the 5th PAP session, in addition to a press conference on the latest developments of the issue of Western Sahara.
He will also hold meetings and discussions with African leaders on the role of the African Union and the United Nations in implementing the requirements of international legitimacy to guarantee the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination. (SPS)
