Shahid al-Hafed, May 18, 2023 (SPS)- The President of the Republic, Secretary -General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, confirmed in an interview with the Sahrawi News Agency “SPS” that when it comes to security and stability of the region, we do not exclude the European neighborhood, and the European Union must realize the extent of the risks due to the Moroccan aggressive policy, which extends to disgraceful practices, through creating lobbies within the European body, which use bribery, extortion and other bad and sordid ways.
In this context, the President Ghali stressed that there is no justification today after the scandal of "Maroc -Gate" in the European Parliament for not stopping favoring the unjust Moroccan position regarding the signing of any agreements with the Kingdom of Morocco, including the occupied parts of the Sahrawi Republic.
He also pointed out that international legitimacy decisions in general, and the decisions of the European Court of Justice in particular, are clear. They emphasized that the Western Sahara and the Kingdom of Morocco are separate and distinguished countries, which means that the Moroccan presence in Western Sahara is merely an unlawful military occupation.
The President of the Republic added, "Also, The Polisario Front was approved, as a legitimate and only representative of the Sahrawi people, qualifying to advocate his name on the international scene."
The President Brahim Ghali stressed that the Polisario Front and the Sahrawi government are sparing no efforts with all available legal means, at the level of Europe and others, to protect the exclusive sovereignty of the Sahrawi people on their land and natural wealth.
