Shaheed El Hafed, September 8, 2011 (SPS) - The National Secretariat (NS) of the Polisario Front has condemned the positions of certain international parties, such as France, which adopts a position of double standards when it comes to the question of Western Sahara, indicated a statement sanctioning the work of a regular session of the SN, released Thursday.
The SN condemned the opposition of France to the Security Council to set up a mechanism for the protection of human rights in Western Sahara when it intervenes by force in the name of democracy and human rights in other parts of the world.
It also called on Spain to assume its legal, historical and moral responsibilities in the decolonization of Western Sahara, considering that this decolonization may take place only through the exercise by the Saharawi people of its inalienable right to self-determination and independence.
The NS saluted all supporters of the movements of Solidarity with the Saharawi people, in Spain and around the world. (SPS)
