Madrid, October 26, 2011 (SPS) – The Observatory of Human Rights of the Bar of Badajoz condemned "vigorously " the terrorist act of kidnapping of international aid workers, Fernandez Coin Aino of Spanish nationality, member of the Association of Friendship with the Saharawi people in Extremadura (Spain), Enrico Gonyalons, a Spanish citizen and member of the Spanish NGO Mundubat and Rossella Urru from Italy, member of the Italian NGO CCISPP.
"We express our support and solidarity with the families and organizations for which the three kidnapped aid workers worker, as well as the Saharawi people and their government," wrote the observatory in a statement released Monday.
"We urge the Spanish authorities to act quickly and decisively in collaboration with the Saharawi authorities and government in the region to free the hostages," the source added.
"Given the importance of generous work of international donors in the Sahrawi camps and the need that this work can be done safely, we demand the immediate release of the kidnappers of the hostages unharmed," noted the observatory.
The Polisario Front and the Government of the SADR has made all the arrangements for the pursuit of the kidnappers and the release of the three aid workers safely and established contacts with neighbors and interested parties for this purpose.
Rossella Urru from Italy, member of the Italian NGO CCISPP, Fernandez Coin Aino of Spanish nationality, member of the Association of Friendship with the Saharawi people in Extremadura (Spain), Enrico Gonyalons, a Spanish citizen and member of the Spanish NGO Mundubat, were abducted by an armed group in the night from Saturday to Sunday from their residence in Shaheed El Hafed (Saharawi refugee camps), it should be recalled.
