ANC renews solidarity with the Saharawi people

Tifariti (liberated territories), Dec 19, 2011 (SPS) - Representative of the African National Congress (ANC), Dumisahi Job, reiterated solidarity with the Saharawi people, in a letter addressed to the delegates of the Polisario 13th Congress taking place in liberated Tifariti.

“We cannot, as we celebrate the centenary of NTC’s establishment, accept repression and occupation in all its forms,” said Dumisahi, referring to the Moroccan occupation of Western Sahara, reiterating continuation to accompany the Saharawi people until achieving freedom and independence.

NTC representative emphasized on the need for the Saharawi people to continue the struggle to realize their demands, as what happened in South Africa against Apartheid system, confirming “masses are the only guarantee for freedom and liberation.”

Dumisahi praised the struggle of the Saharawi activists and defenders of human rights in the occupied Western Sahara, expressing condemnation to the violations committed on the Saharawi citizens in the occupied territories. (SPS)
