President of Republic holds talks with heads of state and governments participating at ANC centenary

Bloemfontein (South Africa), Jan 9, 2011 (SPS) - The President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Frente Polisario, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, has held several meetings with heads of state and government participating in the centenary celebrations of the African National Congress (ANC), which was held Sunday in Bloemfontein city.

President of the Republic met President of the South African Republic and Leader of ANC, Mr. Jacob Zuma, Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Dr. Jean Ping, President of Namibia, Mr. Hifikepunye Pohamba, President of Chad, Mr. Idriss Déby, President of Benin, Mr. Yayi Boni, President of Congo, Mr. Denis Sassou Nguesso, President of Malawi, Mr. Bingu wa Mutharika, President of Burundi, Mr. Pierre Nkurunziza, and King of Swaziland, Mswati III, accompanied by the Prime Minister of Swaziland, Mr. Barnabas Dlamini.

He also held other talks with Mr. Abdelaziz Belkhadem, minister of state and personal representative of the Algerian President, Secretary General of the People's Movement for the Liberation of Angola, the American Priest Jesse Jackson and the U.S. Ambassador Andrew Young.

The President Mohamed Abdelaziz took part Sunday in the celebration commemorating the centenary anniversary of the founding of the African National Congress along with heads of state and governments, international organizations and associations, parliaments, parties and tens of thousands of South African people.

The President of the Republic is accompanied by an important delegation comprising Mr. Mohamed Yeslem Beisat, minister delegate to the Foreign Ministry in charge of Latin America, Mr. Brahim Boumakhrouta, minister delegate to the Foreign Ministry in charge of Africa, and Mr. Abdati Breika, counselor to the Republic Presidency.
