Bir Lehlou (liberated territories), Feb 5, 2012 (SPS) - The President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, has felicitated the Saharawi people, in the occupied territories, refugee camps, national rural and in Diaspora, on the occasion of Prophet Muhammad’s birthday (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him).
He expressed, on behalf of government of the Saharawi Republic and leadership of the Frente Polisario, the highest words of recognition, solidarity and sympathy with the Saharawi political prisoners in the jails of occupation.
“We express pride of the Saharawi people to the steadfastness and determination of the Saharawi families in the occupied territories and their rejection to the policies of Moroccan occupation aiming to bend the Saharawi family from adhering to its historic tradition of dignity,” said the President of the Republic, appreciating in the same regard the position of martyr Said Dembar’s family who still refuses to receive the body of his son awaiting for a fair and impartial investigation into the circumstances of his assassination.
He also praised the courage of the Saharawi protesters who conduct peaceful resistance in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, including the coordination of Gdeim Izik for their courageous stand despite the military and security siege imposed by the Moroccan occupation authorities.
The President finally renewed the commitment of the Saharawi people to their national unity, international law and pursuing the path of martyrs to recover their legitimate rights to freedom and independence, wishing to celebrate the next birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) on their national territory, the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic.
