Rabat (Morocco), June 13, 2012 (SPS) - The national committee of the Moroccan party “the Democratic Way” has called for respect to the right of Saharawi people to self-determination.
"The Democratic Way" stressed the need to "rely on international legitimacy through the application of a negotiated solution based on the implementation of the principle of self-determination for the Sahrawi people which respects their right to free, fair and democratic choice ", according to statement culminated the ordinary session of the party’s national committee.
The Committee considered, in its statement, that the Morocco’s refuse to cooperate with UN Secretary General envoy for Western Sahara is a “declaration of failure for the autonomy plan, which may led to severe consequences on the region." (SPS)
