Algiers, July 8, 2012 (SPS) - A Saharawi delegation took part Sunday at works of the Forum of African Citizenship Front for Democracy and against the Return of Colonialism to Africa, along with representatives of African states, as well as Algerian organizations and civil society.

The two-day forum is organized in the framework of the festivities commemorating the 50th anniversary of Algeria’s independence, and is attended by the Algerian National Committee of Solidarity with Sahrawi People (CNASPS).

“The colonialism which we fought yesterday, trying today to return in a new form and face, by trying to create circumstances to destabilize African states and threaten their national unity and pure personality,” said Mr. Mahrez Lamari, President of CNASPS, on the occasion.

He considered that the independence of African states from the yoke of colonialism remains “incomplete” without the independence of Western Sahara, which still suffer from the scourge of occupation like that of Palestine.

“We renew, through this Forum, our constant support to the Palestinian and Saharawi peoples,” added Mr. Lamari. (SPS)
