Chahid Al Hafed (refugee camps), Oct 7, 2012 (SPS) - Polisario Front has condemned the “aggressive and racist” acts carried out Wednesday and Thursday by Moroccans on Saharawi workers in the French southern city Médoc, warning the innocent Moroccan citizen from falling in a Makhzen’s game aiming at dragging him into a losing war against his peaceful Saharawi brothers, a source from the Saharawi Ministry of Occupied Territories and Communities Abroad told SPS.
The source noted that such reckless acts, which fueled and fed by Moroccan intelligence, aim at spreading “antagonism and hatred” between Saharawis and Moroccans, holding in this regard Rabat direct responsibility for all what happened.
The Saharawi Ministry of Occupied Territories and Communities Abroad recalled to the aggressive tendency of the Moroccan settlers that accompanied Morocco’s invasion of Western Sahara on 31 October 1975, calling for renouncing war and its squalid tactics which Moroccan occupation tries to use in its war against the Saharawi people.
The source therefore praised the “high civil spirit and deep-rooted patriotism” demonstrated by the Saharawi workers in face of these practices, valuing the spirit of nationalism, jealousy and defense of the national cause they have alsways shown wherever they go.
It should be recalled that a number of Sahrawi workers were attacked by Moroccans Wednesday and Thursday in the city of Médoc, southwest France, that led to the intervention of French Gendarmerie, which provided protection for the Saharawis and transferred them to another city until the investigation is complete.
Saharawis citizens were disciplined in their actions and peaceful in their ways, despite being attacked by Moroccans, said French sources. (SPS)
