New York, Oct 12, 2012 (SPS) -The delegation of the Republic of Uruguay has ratified its strong support for the efforts of the Secretary-General and his Personal Envoy, Christopher Ross to encourage the parties to move forward in resolving this conflict, while taking into account the protection and promotion of human rights.
Speaking before UN Fourth Committee, representative of Uruguay has stressed the importance of the resumption of contacts between the Polisario Front and Morocco to look for just, lasting and mutually acceptable solution to this conflict, enabling the Saharawi people of their right to self-determination in accordance with the international law.
