Saharawi refugee camps, October 28, 2012 (SPS) - The Saharawi people has celebrated, like all Islamic peoples, the blessed Eid al-Adha amid incomplete joy due to the state of occupation and refuge they have been experiencing since over three decades.
Eid sermons pointed to the bitter situation faced by the Saharawi people in the occupied territories and refugee camps, in addition to the grave human rights violations committed by Moroccan occupying forces against the unarmed Saharawi civilians in occupied Western Sahara.
Imams also called on the Saharawis to maintain the grace of security through following Islam lofty teachings, by spreading Islam virtues among society.
After the end of Eid Prayer, the Saharawis performed the ritual of slaughtering, visited relatives and friends as well as giving charity to those needy people.
In relevant context, tens of the Saharawis stood Thursday at Plain of Arafat’s Mountain along with more than 4 million Muslim pilgrimages, praying to Allah the Almighty to combine the Saharawi people and bring them back to their country, Western Sahara, independent and free. (SPS)
