Submitted on

Chahid Al Hafed (refugee camps), Nov 7, 2012 (SPS) -Government of the Saharawi Republic has considered "disappointing" speech of the King of Morocco on November 6, 2012, for his "intransigence and lack of political will" in a time  the UN envoy for Western Sahara, Christopher Ross, made his tour the region for a political solution of the conflict.

the Government has drawn the attention of the international community to "escalation of repression before, during and after the visit of Ross to the region."

In its statement, the Government states that "the Moroccan king tries to escape forward when he  blames  countries in the region of the failure to resolve the conflict”

It also reiterated the readiness of the Saharawi party to cooperate fully with the UN envoy to Western Sahara for a just and lasting settlement to enable the Saharawi people to exercise their right to self-determination.

In this context, the Government has reaffirmed that the solution of the conflict passes inevitably through the recovery of the Saharawi people of their rights to freedom and independence. (SPS)
