El Aaiun (occupied territories), Nov 19, 2012 (SPS) - Two cars belonging to the Moroccan auxiliary forces attacked Saturday evening without any reason or warning the young Saharawi Hamdi Labkam, where he was touring Al-Jimal market in the occupied city of El Aaiun, capital of Western Sahara, informed a Saharawi right source.

The 23-year young Saharawi was beaten by batons, until he lost consciousness, before he forced to climb into a car belonging to the Moroccan auxiliary forces, said a statement issued by the Collective of Saharawi Human Rights Defenders (CODESA).

After an hour and a half of torture inside the car, they blindfolded his eyes and threw him outside the city of El Aaiun, near a military site of Moroccan occupying forces, added the statement.

CODESA confirmed that Hamdi was injured at the level of his head, neck and back.

Moroccan forces are pursuing the method of getting rid of the victim and hiding the crime, in dealing with the victims of kidnapping and torture and the other intimidation practices against the Saharawi population. (SPS)
