On occasion of international day of children, CODESA urges international organizations to exert pressure on Morocco to stop violations against Saharawi children

Al Ayoun (occupied territoires) Nov20, 2012(SPS) the collective of Saharawi Human Rights Defenders (CODESA) has urged all international Organizations and humanitarian associations to exert  more pressure on Morocco to stop its violations  against  Saharawi children due to their participation in  peaceful demonstrations demanding the Saharawi people’s right to self- determination.
 

 The occupied AlAyun-based organization denounced in press release, the continuation of Moroccan state in” kidnapping, torture and arrest of minors and abuses reflected on their psychological and mental conditions”
 

CODESA asked Moroccan state to conduct independence investigation on the circumstances of the death of the Saharawi minor, Nayem Algarhi, by live bullets and to give information to his family on whereabouts of his grave”
 

The collective on the occasion of international day of children expressed full solidarity with all children around the world in particular” with victims of repression “
 

CODESA called upon the Security Council of the United Nations to “accelerate the solution of issue of Western Sahara to  guarantee the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and to give more  humanitarian assistance to  the Saharawi refugees and to make pressure on Morocco to respect human rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara”
 

The executive bureau of Saharawi collective recorded “the continuation of Moroccan state   in this year in committing serious crimes against Saharawi children such as kidnapping, rape, sexual harassment, torture and arbitrary arrest in addition to siege imposed by police and army on the educational institutions, neighborhoods, streets and public squares.”(SPS)
