Bir Lehlou (liberated territories), Jan 12, 2013 (SPS) - The President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz sent Saturday a letter of condolence to the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Mr. Mohamed Ould Abdelaziz, following the death of the Senate President Ba Mamadu, alias Mbaré.
“We have learned with great sadness and regret the news of the death of Mr. Ba Mamadu, alias Mbaré, President of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. On behalf of the people and government of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic, and on my own behalf, I would like to extend to Your Excellency, and through you, to the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and to family of the deceased, our deepest condolences,” wrote the President to his Mauritanian counterpart.
“Mauritania has lost in the person of the deceased one its men, who worked faithfully in a distinct phase of the country’s history,” added the letter.
President of the Mauritanian Senate Ba Mamadu died Friday in Paris at the age of 67, after a long illness in Paris. (SPS)
