Demonstrations in the occupied territories on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the outbreak of armed struggle

Smara (occupied territories of Western Sahara), May 22, 2013 (SPS)- The city of Smara witnessed Monday, on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the outbreak of armed struggle, several demonstrations in different quarters of the city and the distribution of leaflets and the suspension of national flags with electric cables, as reported the ministry of the occupied territories and communities affairs

 

The source added, "the masses came out into the streets and alleys, wearing their traditional clothes as a celebration of the fortieth anniversary of the Declaration of the outbreak of armed struggle by POLISARIO front, calling for independence and exit of the Moroccan occupier."

the city Bjdor, according to the same source, also organized commemorating sit-ins for the 40th anniversary of the outbreak of the armed struggle, and the anniversary of the launch of the Intifadah for independence, but the Moroccan forces of repression intervened to disperse the sit-in and, attacked some of the participants such as  Elghalia Mousa, Allowaarh Khia, as well as attacking The Waddi family house by some elements of the Moroccan security.

For its part, the Sahrawi masses organized in the city of Glemam an intensive campaign to write on the walls, despite oppressive cordon siege imposed on the Saharawi inhabitants in the city.(SPS)
