Navarra (Spain), June 8, 2013 (SPS) - The Minister of Cooperation Mr. Brahim Mokhtar concluded Friday a working visit to the region Navarra, Spain, where he met with Spanish officials.
The Minister along with POLISARIO regional office visited Navarra regional parliament, at the behest of Dr. Roman Velonas Moras, President of International Coexistence and Solidarity Committee.
At the parliament, Saharawi minister presented explanation on the situation in occupied and liberate territories of Western Sahara as well as refugee camps. He therefore spoke about the UN Settlement Plan.
Mr. Mokhtar recalled to Spain’s role in the search for a durable and mutually acceptable solution, urging it to make more efforts to create a positive dynamic to facilitate this solution.
He also met with Spanish officials including representatives of Socialist Party and People’s Party and United Left, and others.
The minister also received by the Mayor of the Municipality of Barrio Blano, which he renewed sympathy with the Saharawi people, expressing desire to visit the Saharawi refugee camps. (SPS)
