CHAHID EL HAFED, June 19, 2013 (SPS)- The Association of Saharawi Missing People’s Families has discovered communal graves in the occupied territories, one of which contains the remains of 60 people, said Monday Abdesslam Omar, the association’s president.

Omar called on the United Nations to take an urgent action to preserve the evidence about the violations perpetrated by Moroccan authorities, noting that the discovery was made with the help of international organizations, including the Spanish.

The association, according to him, will present shortly a report to the United Nations about Morocco’s human rights abuses.

According to the association’s statistics, more than 500 Saharawis were reported missing in various towns of the occupied territories of Western Sahara, according to him.(SPS)
