El Aaiun (occupied territories), Jan 15, 2013 (SPS) - Moroccan occupying forces heinously attacked on Sunday the Saharawi female citizen Lala Hatra Aram (see the picture), before setting fire to her house, reported a Sahrawi media source.
According to the same sources, Moroccan police and auxiliary forces have since Friday besieged Jamal al-Din al-Afgani’s Street in the occupied city of El Aaiun, after several peaceful demonstrations held to protest Morocco’s plunder of Western Sahara natural resources and to demand Saharawi people’s right to self-determination.
More than 50 people poured Sunday night into the same street, but Moroccan police prevented their gathering, stated the source.
Sahrawi woman Zahra, who tried to intervene to save Lala Hatra’s baby, was also brutally beaten in her back and arm by Moroccan police. (SPS)
