El Aaiun (occupied territories), Jan 5, 2014 (SPS) - Two young Sahaarwis were attacked in Maatala Street in occupied El Aaiun, capital of Western Sahara, by a Moroccan police patrol, when they were due to escort a foreign delegation.
Moustafa Al-Douih and Bachir Boumoud were severly beaten and assaulted by Moroccan policemen, after they accompanied a delegation of the Swedish Association of solisarity with the Saharawi people.
The delegation visits El Aaiun to assess at first hand the situation of human rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara. (SPS)
