Chahid Al Hafed (refugee camps), Feb 11, 2014 (SPS) - The President of the preparatory committee for the elections of Saharawi parliament’s members Mr. Mhamed Khaddad has declared that 162 candidates confirmed to run for the Saharawi National Council (parliament).
In a press conference held today at the media archive in the Saharawi Ministry of Information, Khaddad said that the Constitutional Council has approved the final list of the candidates to run for the 54 seats in the Saharawi National Council (Parliament).
He, in this regard, added that 15 candidates confirmed to run for the elections in the Wilaya of Dakhla, 32 in Smara, 16 in Azserd, 25 in El Aaiun, 9 in Baoujdour, 16 in Chahid Al Hafed, 21 from the Saharawi Advisory Council, 9 from the mass organizations (Workers, Women, Youth and Students) and 19 from the Sixth Military Region.
