Shaheed Hafed, June 4, 2014 (SPS) - Minister of Youth and Sports Mr. Mohammed Moloud Mohamed Fadel indicated Tuesday that the total number of children who will benefit from “holiday in peace” programme for the summer 2014 has reached 5143 children, hosted by European organizations and associations of solidarity with the Saharawi people, in addition to 1000 children will be hosted by the brotherly country of Algeria.
The Minister of Youth and Sports said in statement to the national media that this year's program is organized in Europe under the theme: “Stop looting natural resources of Western Sahara”.
He affirmed the departure of children will commence on June 14, with the groups leaving for Italy an France and the remaining groups will leave for Spain on June 17.
This year's programme which will continue for two months includes the United States and a number of other European countries and comprises programs to raise awareness about the Sahrawi in addition to entertainment aspects,concluded the Minister. (SPS)
