SADR supports Lesotho initiative on nutrition in Africa

Malabo, June 26, 2014 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz attended this morning a meeting called for by the Kingdom of Lesotho, in the margin of the 23rd summit of heads of state and government of the African Union, underway in Equatorial Guinea.


During this meeting, attended by all African leaders present at the summit, the King of Lesotho His Majesty Letsie III an initiative on nutrition in the African continent.


Addressing the audience, President Mohamed Abdelaziz praised the initiative, describing it as a step in the direction of improving the agricultural sector and food security in the African continent.


Expressing support of the Saharawi Republic (SADR) to such an initiative, the President stressed the importance in improving the lives of the peoples of the continent.


Petitioners at the meeting highlighted, in their interventions, the role of nutrition and its effects on the lives of Africa citizens, especially with that the current summit addressing the subject of agriculture and food security.


It is to be recalled that all African leaders, who are present at the 23rd regular session of AU Heads of State and Governments, took part at the meeting. (SPS)
