Chahid Al Hafed (refugee camps), Aug 28, 2014 (SPS) - Prime Minister Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar received Wednesday at his office in Chahid Al Hafed, Saharawi refugee camps, the WFP’s country director in Algeria, Mr. Pedro Figueiredo.
The meeting focused on various areas of cooperation and the projects funded by the World Food Programme for the benefit of the Sahrawi refugees.
Following the meeting, Mr. Figueiredo said that WFP is seriously working to ensure adequate aid for the Sahrawi refugees, in spite of the global economic difficulties.
In a statement to the national press, President of the Saharawi Red Crescent Mr. Bouhabaini Yahya underlined that the Saharawi state is “committed” to support and facilitate all projects and programmes set forth by the WFP. (SPS)
