Spanish National Court judge listens to Sahrawi witnesses on Moroccan genocide in Western Sahara

Submitted on

Madrid (Spain), October 6, 2014 (SPS) - Spanish National Court Judge Mr. Pablo Ruz listened Monday to seven Sahrawi witnesses on the genocide committed by the Moroccan Royal Army against Sahrawi citizens during its invasion to Western Sahara.

The Sahrawi witnesses explained in detail to the Spanish National Court judge  what the Sahrawi citizens suffered of abuse, ill-treatment, torture, interrogations, disappearances and killings in front of their beloved ones in many cases.

The listening of the Spanish National Court judge comes in the context of the growing interest paid by the Spanish judiciary to the theme of the mass graves discovered in the liberated Sahrawi territories and the following-up of Moroccan officials involved in the chapters of genocide against innocent Sahrawi citizens.
