Training session for 38 parliamentarians and officials of National Council

 Algiers, October 12, 2014 (SPS) - The Algerian National People's Assembly (APN) on Sunday launched a training session for the benefit of 38 parliamentarians and officials of the National Council (Parliament), which will last until November7.

 

 Saharawi trainees attend, during this session, classes on several issues including constitutional law, methodology for analyzing bills, analysis of state budget and parliamentary diplomacy, in addition to the information technology and communication and drafting of legal texts.

 

The launch of this session was attended by the Chairman of the APN, Mohamed Larbi Ould Khelifa, Ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) in Algiers, Ibrahim Ghali and chairs of the Committee of Friendship and Brotherhood Algeria-Western Sahara.

 

The chairman of the APN said, in a speech on the occasion, that the Saharawi people "have the right to build its institutions" calling "the associations and organizations defending human rights to further solidarity with the Saharawi people, which is a model of resistance in Africa. "

 

 The chairman of the Committee of Friendship and Brotherhood Algeria-Western Sahara in the Saharawi National Council, Bachir Hella, for his part, felt that this session "is the fruit of cooperation" between Algerian and Saharawi parliament, stressing that it "will have positive results, through the promotion of a parliamentary action which is at the level of current developments in the international and regional arena and the defense of the Saharawi cause just."

 

Moreover, the general director of the training for Legislative Studies at the APN, Boualem Tatah, indicated that the number of training sessions organized by the APN during the last decade were 51 sessions for the benefit of parliamentarians and parliaments officials from 12 countries, including Morocco, Tunisia, Djibouti, Lebanon, Kenya, Burkina Faso and Western Sahara.
