Saharawi political prisonersentenced to 4 years in prison for participating in peaceful demonstration

Agadir (southern Morocco), November 11, 2014 (SPS) -  Saharawi political prisoner, Ali Gach, was sentenced Monday to a long term of four years imprisonment by the court of Agadir, Morocco, for his participation in a peaceful demonstration calling for the right of the Saharawi people in Tan Tan (southern Morocco), reported the Ministry of Occupied Territories and Saharawi Community Abroad.

 

The Saharawipolitical prisoner had categorically denied all charges against him, stating that he was in the company of young Saharawi participants in a peaceful demonstration calling for self-determination and independence of the Saharawi people in the city of Tan Tan, (southern Morocco), on February 26, 2008, the source added.
